This hobby of mine puts me in contact with a variety of people I might otherwise never meet. In Dayton, Ohio, I met the couple from Indiana. The two brothers that asked me to take their picture. Eric(?) who was nice enough to use my spare camera to take some pictures of the Thunderbirds. Mary Ann, who I met because I was in the area and dropped in on a meeting she was at. (And we may have never met had an Akron, Ohio physician (Bob) and a New York stockbroker (Bill) not met back in 1935.) And last, but not least, the friendly Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper who stopped to make sure I was OK on State Route 35 where I'd pulled over to get some sleep on the way home from the air show. And coincidentally, all of the above people are on the Internet.
